FOOD TO BE CATERED LUNCH & DINNER ONLY FOR ALL 4 DAYS
WHY BUY OUR CATERED MEALS
We will have an excellent caterer coming this year who will provide two meals a day. There will be a vegetarian and meat option for lunch and dinner. All breakfasts should be in your lodging or in town in the restaraunts in town. Black Bear Dinner has huge meals throughout the day. especially in the mornings they are a good choice. B.B is not organic or non GMO but I eat there on occassion.
TENTATIVE MEAL SCHEDULE – Keep In Mind Our evening Programs Will Run Until 10 PM –
We are currently estimating Lunches will be served at 1:45 p.m. Dinners will be served from approximately 6:30 to 7 p.m. The kitchen will be closed to camperswe think? from 9:45 until 1:45 pm. and probably from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. possibly less. The food will be prepared by Various restaurants. with our staff serving. We need volunteers with some food experience. MORE DETAILS -MENUS WILL BE FORTHCOMING.
FLEXIBLE ALA CARTE MEAL PURCHASES – VEGETARIAN -MEAT – BEVERAGE
Meal tickets will be purchased day by day meal by meal. That is to say, you can purchase a vegetarian lunch and a meat option for dinner. You can also skip a day of half a day or a whole day or whatever. In other words, you will be able to pick a la carte which meals you would like to purchase. Meal purchases will end probably 7 days before the event! You will need to have your receipts for your meals upon check-in you will be given tickets to present at each meal you choose.
BE SURE TO PURCHASE MEAL TICKETS 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE NO TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED ON-SITE
No one is required to buy the catered food. However, there will not be allowed any purchasing of the catered meals onsite. You of course may also bring in sack lunches or food from off-site and keep your cooler in your car and eat at the benches provided. I will remind you the average Maburger at a restaraunt is about 17 dollars. A mexican meal can run 25 – 30 dollars. Large Pizzas are 30 at Say Sheese.
The Restaraunts in town are Lovely And there are quite a few however pleae think about logistics. It is 20 minutes to town by car from the time you start driving. Getting in a sitting down and getting to order can take 30 minutes if you can get a reservation. Then factor in time to get back to the camp a meal may run 2 hours off site.
My personal suggestion will be to plan to be in town as you choose. for instance we will probaly have 2 nights of sky watches with 50 people each on Friday & Saturday evening.
We are hoping for and encouraging some food vendors to apply. We certainly need other food vendors for the 4 days. We really later evening Vendor for evening programs -Drum Circles, Movie Night. Music, Workshops. Chai, Coffee, and small snacks. If anyone knows any candidates please let me know of have them contact me.
